The state of Texas and the victims of Hurricane Harvey are on our hearts. We have done our research and have put together a list of 5 great ways that you can help Hurricane Harvey victims.

Here are 5 ways you can help Hurricane Harvey victims:

1. Donate blood! With so many victims, there is a desperate need for blood, O positive and O negative being the biggest need. If you are local to Texas, you can find where to give to blood that will make it’s way to Hurricane Harvey victims here.

2. Donate diapers! You can donate diapers to all of the little victims of Hurricane Harvey in person or mail them to the Texas Diaper Bank (5415 Bandera Road, Suite 504, in San Antonio, Texas, 78238) or by using this link through Jet.com to send them directly to the bank.

3. Donate food & clothing! If you live in Texas, you can donate to local food banks and organizations that are helping Hurricane Harvey victims. Here is a link to a local news article about where to donate.

4. Donate money! If you are not local, it may be difficult to donate food and clothing. So donating money to help Hurricane Harvey victims will be your best bet. You can donate to large organizations like the American Red Cross or smaller organizations as well. Here is a link of great organizations to donate to, put together by CNN.

5. Open your home or adopt a pet! You can offer to provide free accommodations to Hurricane Harvey evacuees through Airbnb. Airbnb is waving all fees until September 25 th . And if you are an animal lover or looking for your own pet, many pets have lost their homes. Here’s an article for how you can help.

And don’t forget to pray!
In addition to all of these great ways to give or help out, let’s not forget to PRAY. Never underestimate the strength of prayer and remember that you don’t have to personally know people to pray for them.

Note: Disaster relief is a cause that you can support with RaiseUp, but since we are still welcoming nonprofit organizations, we do not yet have a participating nonprofit that is supporting Hurricane Harvey. (If you are a nonprofit organization that supports disaster relief and would like to utilize the RaiseUp program to raise funds for Hurricane Victims, you can learn about the program and reach out at www.RaiseUp.org.

I have a 15, passenger van, a Jon boat and a rescue dog but need a sponsor to go down and help rescue people and animals.
