What is RaiseUp?

In honor of our very first blog post, we felt it only made sense to introduce you to RaiseUp and say welcome! You may be wondering: “What is RaiseUp”?

The problems our world faces

Many of us are aware of the problems that our world faces. There are children without parents. Families are suffering from hunger and thirst. Young girls and boys are being traded for sex or labor in the growing human trafficking industry. People are being forced out of their country and suffering persecution. And we could go on.

How can I help?

And once you know about these problems, you may wonder what are some ways to stop human trafficking or how to help orphans or refugees? Or what are some of the best charities to donate to that are already helping?

At RaiseUp, we wanted to create a way for people to help. There are so many great nonprofit organizations that are already doing great work. They have amazing hearts to help all the problems we just mentioned. And most importantly, many of them also have the mission to share the hope of Jesus Christ with the individuals who are suffering. To help them know that there is hope. There is a savior who loves them. They can trust Him and they can rely on Him.

We want to support these nonprofits financially to help them execute their great works, as well as help spread awareness of the problems that they are working hard to combat. Eye Heart World and Not Forgotten International are just two of the great nonprofits that you can support through RaiseUp.

Shop for a cause

So with RaiseUp, you can shop online while fundraising for a cause. By registering at RaiseUp you can choose which cause you’d like to support and which nonprofit you’d like to receive the funds.

Then you can shop an online mall of over 1000 popular stores who are all giving back a percentage when you make an online purchase. Popular stores like Walmart, Target, Amazon, Home Depot and MANY more (as well as smaller boutique shops) fill this online mall.

How to shop?

You can shop:

2) By starting your purchase at RaiseUp
3) By downloading the RaiseUp Chrome Extension button to remind you to raise funds as you do your normal shopping online.

The goal of RaiseUp is not to have you buy things you don’t need just to raise funds for a cause. But rather to make the most of the things you are already buying. From clothing to office supplies, home improvement and travel, health and beauty and so on … it’s all available by shopping for a cause through RaiseUp’s online mall.

Random acts of kindness

Our vision is to come together to help these causes and to help spread the hope of Jesus with those who so desperately need to hear it. Think of it this way, each of our online purchases (that we might even already be making) can also be our random acts of kindness by fundraising for a cause.
